Rolling Processing of Grade 3 Pure Titanium Plate
(1)Hot Rolled Processing:
Hot rolling is carried out above the recrystallization temperature of titanium alloys and is suitable for the production of medium-thickness plates (such as those with a thickness of more than 5mm). Hot rolling can enable titanium alloy plates to obtain good internal structure and mechanical properties, and improve the plasticity and toughness of the plates.
(2)Cold Rolled Processing:
Cold rolling is a rolling process carried out at room temperature, and is mainly used for the production of thin plates (such as those with a thickness ranging from 0.3 to 5mm), which can achieve higher surface accuracy and dimensional accuracy. The surface of the cold-rolled titanium alloy sheet is smooth and the thickness is uniform, making it suitable for components with high requirements for the surface quality of the sheet.
(3)Comparison of Rolling Processes:
Hot rolling and cold rolling both have their own advantages and disadvantages.
Hot rolling has a high production efficiency, but its surface quality is relatively poor.
Cold-rolled surfaces have good quality, but the production cost is relatively high.
In actual production, the appropriate rolling process can be selected according to the product requirements.
