Titanium Grade 3 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium grade (UNS R50550, material no. 3.7055), classified as a medium-high strength option among unalloyed titanium grades. It delivers higher mechanical strength than Grade 1 and Grade 2, while retaining excellent corrosion resistance, reliable weldability, and moderate formability. It is a cost-effective choice for structural and corrosion-resistant applications that require higher load-bearing capacity than Gr2 can offer.

Grade 3 titanium contains minimum alloying elements. It features higher tensile strength than Gr1 & Gr2 titanium, good ductility and outstanding corrosion resistance. Gr3 titanium sheet is flat rolled titanium plate/sheet processed via hot rolling and cold rolling.

What's the difference between Gr2 and Gr3 Titanium Sheet?

Grade 3 has slightly higher tensile and yield strength than Grade 2. If higher mechanical load is required without adding alloy elements, Gr3 is preferred; Gr2 is more widely used for general corrosion-resistant scenarios.

Can Grade 3 Titanium Sheet be welded?

Yes. Gr3 commercially pure titanium has excellent welding performance. Welding must be protected by inert gas (argon) to avoid oxidation and embrittlement at high temperature.

Is Gr3 Titanium Sheet Weldable and Processable?

Yes. Gr3 commercially pure titanium has superior weldability and formability. It can be cut, bent, stamped and rolled for various customized shapes.
