Description
Grade12 Titanium Plate is a low-alloy, titanium material. It is also called Ti-0.3Mo-0.8N . Micro-alloying with Mo and Ni to enhance corrosion resistance without compromising the inherent advantages of titanium.It is specifically designed to enhance crevice corrosion resistance in aggressive environments. It is superior to resist corrosion compared to pure titanium grades 1-4.

What is the key advantage of Gr12 vs Gr2 pure titanium?
✅ Superior resistance to reducing acids (dilute HCl, H₂SO₄)
✅ Good resistance to crevice corrosion in hot brine / chloride media
✅ Better localized corrosion performance in seawater and wet chlorine environments
✅ Similar weldability and formability to Gr2 pure titanium Limitation: Not suitable for strong oxidizing acid like concentrated nitric acid.

- Gr12: Ti‑0.3Mo‑0.8Ni, alloyed with Mo+Ni, great for reducing acid and crevice corrosion, lower cost than Gr7
- Gr7: Ti‑0.15Pd (palladium alloy), outstanding corrosion resistance in reducing acids, much higher price due to palladium Gr12 is a cost-effective alternative to Gr7 for many chemical process scenarios.
