Gr2 titanium plate
Gr2 titanium plate mainly refers to medium and heavy gauge plate wih the thickness is more than 5mm, made of Grade 2 meterial.We can provide plate with thickness ranging from 5.0-100mm, the length and width are usally 1000x2000mm(also can customized according to client's opnion)
Gr2 titanium plate is accoring to ASTM B265/AMS 4902/ASME SB265/ASTM F67, the processing technology is hot rolling,which primarilly used for breaking down titanium ingots and rolling them into medium thick plates.It typically supplied in annealed condition.The surface can be bright pickled or abrasive polished.

Gr2 titanium is a the most widely used and versatile grade of pure titanium grades.It stricks an optimal balance between strength,ductility,formability and corrosion resistance, making it the workhorse grade for industrial applications.The tensile strength is not less than 345MPa,yield strength is not less than 275MPa,elongation is 20% MIN,elastic modulus is 105GPa, the density is 4.51g/cm3

It has the key characteristics and properties as belows:
1,Optimal Balance of Strength and ductility:it provides a significant increase in strength over grade 1 while retaining excellent formability and toughness.This balance makes it highly suitable for structural and pressure applications.
2,Excellent Corrosion Resistance:it retains an outstanding corrosion resistance to piping crevice corrosion and erosion in severe environments,including seawater,chlorides,oxidizing acids and chlorides-containing media.Its performance is superior to stainless steels in many applications.
3,High Strength-to-Weight Ratio:its low density(about 60% of stainless steels)combined with its mechanical strength makes it ideal for reducing weight without sacrificing performance.
4,Super Weldability:it can be welded easily using all common techniques such as gas tungsten arc welding and gas metal arc welding with excellent preperities maching the base metal.
5, Non-Magnetic and Biocompatible:it is inherently non-magnetic and is also biocompatible,certifies for medical implant.
The key differences between grade 2 and grade 1 are as belows(both grades offer excellent corrosion resistance and weldability)
1,Tensile Strength:grade 2 provides approximately 40% higher than grade 1
2, Yield Strength:grade 2 provides approximately 60% higher than grade 1
