Gr3 titanium is a high strength grade among the pure titanium grades.It occupies a unique position between the highly formable pure titanium(grade 1/grade 2)and the stronger but less ductile titanium alloys(grade 5).Its primary characteristic is its enhanced mechanical strength,achieved through controlled interstitial elements(oxigen),while still retaining the essential benefits of pure titanium's excellent corrosion resistance and weldability. The tensile strength is not less than 450MPa,yield strength is not less than 380MPa,Elongation is 18% MIN,Modulus is 105GPa,density is 4.51g/cm3.

2,Good Corrosion Resistance:it maintains the exceptional corrosion resistance inherent to titanium against a wide range of aggressive media,including seawater,chlorides and oxidizing acids.

3,Moderate Ductility and Formability :while stronger,it has lower ductility than grade 1 and grade 2.It can be cold-formed but may require more force and attention to compared to its purer counterparts.

4,Excellent Weldability:it can be welded using all standard techniques, such as gas tungsten arc welding and gas metal arc welding. The results is similar to other pure titanium grades,like grade 1 and grade 2,producing durable and corrosion resistance welds.

5, Biocompatibility:it is biocompatible and can be certifies to ASTM F67 for surgical implant applications.

6,High Strengt-to-Weight Ratio:its increased strength combined with low density makes it a premium choice for weight-critical applications that demand more strength than grade 2 provide.

Gr3 titanium plate is specifies for applications where the corrosion resistance of pure titanium is required,but the mechanical strength of grade 1 and grade 2 are insufficient.It is mainly used in the following industries scopes:
