Gr23 (Ti‑6Al‑4V ELI) is an ultra‑low interstitial (ELI) version of Ti‑6Al‑4V (Gr5) alloy, with strictly controlled O, N, C, H impurities. It is supplied as thin foil (typically 0.01–0.5 mm thick) in annealed temper, featuring high toughness, excellent biocompatibility, and superior corrosion resistance.
ELI = Extra Low Interstitial. Interstitial elements (O, N, C, H) are kept at very low levels to improve ductility, fracture toughness, and fatigue life-critical for medical implants and cryogenic service.
