Gr12 titanium plate mainly refers to medium and heavy gauge plate wih the thickness is more than 5mm, made of Grade 12 meterial(TI-0.3Mo-0.8Ni).We can provide sheet with thickness ranging from 5.0-100mm, the length and width are usally 1000x2000mm(also can customized according to client's opnion)

Gr12 titanium plate is accoring to ASTM B265/ASME SB265, the processing technology is hot rolling,which primarilly used for breaking down titanium ingots and rolling them into medium thick plates.It typically supplied in annealed condition.The surface can be bright pickled or abrasive polished.

Gr12 titanium is a highly corrosion resistance titanium alloy specifically designed to bridge the preformance gap between pure titanium and alloy titanium.Its small but effective additions of Mo and Ni impart exceptional resistance to crevice corrosion in hot chlorides and to reducing acids, making it a cost-effective "workhorse" for severe environments.The tensile strength is not less than 483MPa,yield strength is not less than 345MPa,Elongation is 18% MIN.

1,Superior Crevice Corrosion Resistance:the important advantage of grade 12 is its excellent resistance to crevice corrosion in hot chloride solutions(seawater,brine)at temperature significantly higher than those tolerable by grade 2.This performance approaches that of grade 7 in many applications.

2,Enhanced Resistance to Reducing Acids:it offers improved corrosion resistance in reducing acid media,such as dilute sulfuric acid,hydrochloric acid.

3,Excellent Fabricability:it retains good formability and can be welded using techniques similar to those for pure titaniumm, though care must be taken to aviod embrittlement.

4,High Strength:it exhibits mechanical strength slightly higher than grade 2,providing improved load-bearing capability.

5,Cost-Effectiveness:it provides a more economical alternative to grade 7 for many demanding corrosion applications.

1,Compared to grade 2:grade 12 provides significantly superior resistance to crevice corrosion and reducing acids,with a slight increase in strength and cost.

2,Compared to grade 7:grade 7 generally offers broader and more robust corrosion resistance,especially in stronger reducing acids and mixed chemistries.Grade 12 is chosen as a high performance,lower cost alternative for specific environments where is has been proven effective.

Gr12 titanium plate is specified for applications where the corrosion resistance of pure titanium is inadequate,but the full capability of grade 7 is not required.In fact,it offers an optimal cost-performance solution.It is mainly used in the following industries:
