Gr5 titanium plate mainly refers to medium and heavy gauge plate wih the thickness is more than 5mm, made of Grade 5 meterial(Ti-6Al-4V).We can provide sheet with thickness ranging from 5.0-100mm, the length and width are usally 1000x2000mm(also can customized according to client's opnion)

Gr5 titanium plate is accoring to ASTM B265/AMS 4911/ASME SB265, the processing technology is hot rolling,which primarilly used for breaking down titanium ingots and rolling them into medium thick plates.It typically supplied in annealed condition.The surface can be bright pickled or abrasive polished.

Gr5 titanium is most widely used and iconic titanium alloy in the world.It is an alpha-beta alloy, meaning it contains stabilizers for both the alpha and beta phases of titaniu,which gives it a superior combination of properties.The tensile strength is not less than 895MPa,yield strength is not less than 828MPa,Elongation is 10% MIN,elastic modulus is 110-114Gpa.

1,High Strength-to-Weight Ratio:it offers an exceptional strength density ratio,with tensile strength nearly double of grade 2.

Meanwhile,it is just being 40% lighter than stainless stells of similar strength.

2,Good Corrosion Resistance:it maintains excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion,seawater and a wide range of chemical madia, though it can be susceptible to crevice corrosion at elevated temperature.

3,Moderate Formability: Its high strength makes it less formable than pure titanium grades at room temperature.

4,Good Weldability:it can be readily welded using common techniques such as gas tungsten arc welding and gas metal arc welding. Post-weld heat treatment is often necessary to restore properties in the heat-affeted zone.

5, Excellent Fatigue Resistnce and Toughness:it maintains good resistance to crack propagation and performs will under cyclic loading conditions.
