Description
Technical Parameters
Introduction
Grade 1 is the softest, most ductile grade of commercially pure titanium, with ultra-low interstitial content. It is a CP Ti and the interstitial elements are strictly controlled (O ≤ 0.18%, Fe ≤ 0.20%, C ≤ 0.10%, N ≤ 0.03%, H ≤ 0.015%).
Compared with Other CP Ti Grades,Grade 1 < Grade 2 < Grade 3 < Grade 4 in strength and hardness, but Grade 1 has the highest ductility and lowest interstitial content. It has become the first choice for ultra-thin foil and critical forming applications.

Manufacturing Process
1.Raw material: High-purity titanium sponge (≥99.5%).
2.Hot rolling to reduce thickness.
3.Multiple passes of cold rolling to achieve foil thickness.
4.Annealing to restore ductility and relieve stress.
5.Surface treatment for finish.
6.Quality inspection: dimensions, mechanical properties, purity.

Titanium Grade1 Foil vs. Stainless steel foil
Superior corrosion resistance in seawater, chlorides, and acidic environments
Lighter weight (4.51 vs. 7.9 g/cm³) for better strength-to-weight ratio
Higher formability for complex shaping
Non-magnetic and biocompatible
Better high-temperature stability

FAQ
Q: Is Titanium Grade1 Foilmagnetic?
A: No. It is not attracted to common magnets and is considered nonmagnetic for practical applications.
Q: Can Titanium Grade1 Foil be welded?
A: Yes. It has excellent weldability using TIG, MIG, or laser welding. Use pure argon shielding to prevent contamination. Annealing after welding is recommended to restore ductility.
Q: What is the typical lead time for custom orders?
A: Depending on order quantity and processing complexity.
