Gr2 titanium foil is the most widely used commercially pure (CP) titanium grade, defined by an optimal balance of strength, corrosion resistance, formability, and weldability. It is also known as TA2 in Chinese standards.

It solves the pain points of Gr1 (low strength) and Gr5 (high cost/poor formability). For most industrial, electronic, and medical applications requiring thin, strong, corrosion-resistant, and biocompatible material, Gr2 is the most cost-effective and versatile choice.

A: Yes. Excellent weldability via TIG, laser, or electron beam welding. No preheating required, but inert gas shielding (Ar) is critical to prevent oxidation/contamination. Suitable for thin-gauge foil with proper parameter control.

A: Yes. Gr2 titanium is non-reactive, non-toxic, and FDA-compliant for food processing and medical implants. Its passive oxide layer (TiO₂) prevents ion release, ensuring safety in direct contact with food/body fluids.
