This is Grade 5 titanium alloy square bar supplied by RHEM,also known as TC4 titanium square bar and also named Ti-6Al-4V, UNS R56400, is the most widely used alpha-beta titanium alloy in the global titanium industry.
Grade 5 square bar is a titanium alloy solid bar with square cross-section, composed of 6% aluminum, 4% vanadium, balance titanium. It is the most widely used structural titanium alloy, supplied as hot rolled, cold drawn or annealed square profiles with equal width & thickness.

How is Grade 5 different from pure titanium Grade 1/2 square bar?
Grade 5: Alloyed, high strength, for load-bearing structural parts; harder, lower ductility
Pure Ti Grade1/2: Unalloyed, superior corrosion resistance, soft, low strength, used for chemical & medical non-load components
Is Grade 5 Ti square bar corrosion resistant?
Good general corrosion resistance in seawater, neutral salt, air, freshwater; forms passive TiO₂ protective film. Limitation: Poor resistance to strong hot acid (hydrochloric, sulfuric) without surface passivation.
Is Grade 5 titanium square bar easy to machine?
Moderately difficult. It has low thermal conductivity and chemical affinity to cutting tools. Tips: Use slow cutting speed, sufficient coolant, coated carbide tools to avoid work hardening.
