Gr3 Titanium Wire

Gr3 titanium is a high strength commerically pure titanium grade,positioned between grade 2 and grade 4 in terms of mechanical properities.It offers higher strength than grade 1 and grade 2 while retaining good ductility and the excellent corrosion resistance among in pure titanium.It is the ideal choice for engineering applications that demand an elevated level of mechanical performance,such as higher pressure or load-bearing components,while absolutely requiring the superior corrosion resistance and weldability of pure titanium.It is stronger but less ductile than grade 2,it is chosen when disign requires the next level of strength beyond what grade 2 can provide. 

Gr3 titanium wire mainly refers to circular materials wih the diameter of less than 6 mm, made of Grade 1 meterial according to ASTM B863 standard.Our company can provide fine wire with diameters ranging from 0.3 to 1.0mm, medium wire with diameters ranging from 1.2 to 3.0mm, thick wire with diameters ranging from 4.0 to 6.0mm.Fine wire and medium wire are supplied in coils, the weight is from several kgs to 20kgs.The thick wire is supplied in bars, the length is usually 1000,2000 and 3000mm(also can customized according to client's opnion)

Hot rolling or cold drawing, typically supplied in annealed condition or old-worked condition.The surface can be bright pickled or abrasive polished.

The monthly production capacity for titanium wires reaches 50 metric tons.Our company has one set of 250mt rolling mill,one set of 40mt and one set of 20mt drawing machines,supported by 1 electric resistance furnace,1 annealing furnace and 1 skew roll straightening machine..With our sufficient production facilities,we can promptly process cutsomer orders.Meanwhile,we offer multiple delivery options to overseas clients,whcih include sea freight,land-sea combined transport and air freight.

1,High Strength:its most defining characteristic is its higher minimum and yield strength compared to grade 1 and grade 2, this makes it suitable for applications subjected to higher mechanical stresses.

2,Excellent Corrosion Resistance:it maintains the outstanding corrosion resistance of commercially pure titanium against chlorides,saltwater,oxidizing acids and many harsh chemical environments.

3,Good Ductility and Formability:while stronger,it still retains good ductility and can be formed, though it is less formable than grade 1 and grade 2.It may require more force during cold working operations.

4,Good Weldability:It can be readily welded using standard techniques such as gas tungsten arc welding and gas metal arc welding.It is commonly welded with grade 3 or grade 2 filler wire.

5,High Strength-to-Weight Ratio:it provides a superior strength-to-weight ratio compared to many other metals,being about lighter than steel with strength comparable to some common steel.

Industrial & Chemical Processing:

it can be used for fabricating parts like sparger tubes,filter housings,vessel internals that rquire higher pressure ratings or must withstand greater mechanical stress in corrosive environments.It can also used as filler wire(grade 3 ERTi-3)for welding grade 3 components.

Aerospace & Marine:

it can be used in airframe components,fasteners,fittings,critical bolts,nuts,linkages on ships and offshore platforms exposed to seawater.

Power Generation:

it can be used in condenser,heat exchanger tubing,especially in sections where high strength is beneficial.
