Description
Titanium Grade 12 welded tube is a tubular product made from the lean alpha titanium alloy Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni. It is produced via roll-forming of titanium strip followed by automatic GTAW (TIG) longitudinal seam welding. The strict shielding is required to avoid oxygen/nitrogen/hydrogen contamination, and post-weld heat treatment & non-destructive testing as standard.
It is widely specified in chemical processing, power generation, desalination, and marine heat exchangers for its superior crevice/pitting corrosion resistance in hot brines, chlorides, and reducing acids.

Strip Sourcing: Conform Grade 12 coil or strip
Roll Forming: Form into a cylindrical shape
GTAW Welding: Autogenous longitudinal seam welding under argon shielding; plasma welding optional for thick walls
Annealing: 732–816°C followed by air cooling to restore ductility and corrosion resistance
NDT Inspection: 100% eddy current+ultrasonic testing; hydrostatic/pneumatic pressure test; visual & dimensional checks; MTC provided
