Description
Gr12 is a near-alpha titanium alloy containing 0.3% Mo and 0.8% Ni, offering superior corrosion resistance and improved strength/temperature capability over commercially pure titanium. It is alloyed with small amounts of molybdenum and nickel to deliver improved crevice corrosion resistance and moderate strength, serving as a cost-effective alternative to palladium-bearing titanium grades (Grade 7, Grade 11) in most corrosive industrial scenarios. It is widely used in heat exchangers, chemical processing, and marine applications .

Vacuum arc remelting (VAR) or electron beam melting (EBM) for high purity
2.Hot Working:
Forging or extrusion of billets
Hot rolling to form hollow shells
3.Cold Finishing:
Cold drawing for precise dimensions
Pilger rolling for thin walls
4.Heat Treatment: Annealing at 650–700°C for 1–4 hours, air-cooled
5.Surface Treatment:
Pickling/etching to remove oxide scale,Ultrasonic testing for defects
6.Inspection:
