Ti-6Al-4V ELI is also known as Grade 23 titanium alloy plate, the ultra-high-purity variant of standard Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5).
Titanium plates are thick flat rolled metal panels manufactured from commercially pure titanium (CP Ti) or titanium alloys via hot rolling, cold rolling and heat treatment.
· Standard Ti-6Al-4V: Higher oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and iron interstitial limits; high strength, common for aerospace structural parts.
· Ti-6Al-4V ELI: Strictly controlled low interstitial element content (lower O, N, C, H). It delivers superior ductility, fracture toughness, fatigue resistance and cryogenic performance, with slightly lower tensile strength than Grade 5.
