Description
Titanium Grade 9 wire, also known as Ti-3Al-2.5V, is a medium-strength α-β titanium alloy wire with a balanced combination of the properties. These are a commonly used type of titanium alloy wire, applying in aerospace, chemical processing, marine engineering,medical devices and automotive industry.
It is usually supplied in annealed (M) or cold - worked (Y) states. The annealed state has good plasticity, which is convenient for subsequent cold processing; the cold - worked state has higher strength and hardness and can be directly used for finished products.
When welding, the TIG welding method is recommended, and the weld width should be controlled to avoid defects such as pores.
