Introduction
Titanium Grade12 Wire is a near-alpha titanium alloy and it contains with the composition of Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni. It is a corrosion-resistant titanium alloy developed in the mid-1970s. It was designed to enhance crevice corrosion resistance in high-temperature brine environments. It is widely used in chemical processing, marine engineering, desalination, oil and gas, and aerospace applications.
Gr12 titanium wire is a corrosion resistant alloy wire, typically produced via a sequence of melting, forging,rolling, multipass drawing, intermediate annealing, surface treatment, final annealing, and inspection.

Manufacturing Process of Gr12 Titanium Wires
Raw Material & Melting
Melting via VAR or cold-hearth process to produce high-purity Ti0.3Mo0.8Ni (Gr12) ingots, with strict control of interstitial elements and ingot inspection.
Ingot Processing
Hot forging and hot rolling into wire rods, followed by annealing and descaling to remove stress and oxide scale
Sequential cold drawing with decreasing die diameters, plus intermediate annealing to counteract work hardening, using dedicated lubrication.
Annealing at 650–750 °C under vacuum or argon to restore ductility and refine grains.
Pickling or bright finishing to achieve the required surface quality, with thorough cleaning.
Supplied in annealed or cold-drawn condition; optional stress-relief annealing.
Straightening and cutting to customer-specified lengths or spooling as coiled wire.
Dimensional, mechanical, chemical, surface, and non-destructive testing to meet ASTM B863 standards.
