Gr7 Titanium Sheet

Gr7 titanium sheet mainly refers to thin,flat rolled materials wih the thickness is less than 5mm, made of Grade 7 meterial(Ti-0.25Pd).We can provide sheet with thickness ranging from 0.5-5.0mm, the length and width are usally 1000x2000mm(also can customized according to client's opnion)

Gr7 titanium sheet is accoring to ASTM B265, the processing technology is cold rolling,which primarilly used to hot-rolled plates thinner dimensions,improving surface quality,dimentsional accuracy and properities.It typically supplied in annealed or cold-worked condition.The surface can be bright pickled,cold rolled(Matte) and abrasive polished.

Gr7 titanium is a "Palladium-Bearing"alloy,specifically designed to provide superior corrosion resistance in more reducing acdic environments where standard pure titanium grades,(grade 2 and grade 4)might be susceptible to attack.It is often considered the premium choice for most aggressive chemical processing applications.Its characteristics are as same as grade 2.The tensile strength is not less than 345MPa,yield strength is not less than 275MPa,elongation is 20%MIN.

1,Compared to grade 2:it offers vastly superior resistance to crevice corrosion and attack in reducing acids.It will still keep working while the grades 2 components failing due to corrosion.

2,Compared to grade 12:the coice between grade 7 and grade 12 is often application-specific but grade 7 is generally more effective in wider range of reducing acid conditions.

3,Compared to grade 5:although it is not stronger as grade 5,but it is far superior in corrosive chemical environments and is much easier to form and weld.

1,Strength and Formability:it retains the mechanical properties and excellent cold formability of pure titanium grade 2, this makes grade 7 sheet easy to fabricate into complex shapes like tanks,liners and coils.

2,Exceptional Corrosion Resistance:the key advantage is its dramatically inhanced corrosion resistance,particularly in reducing acids(hydrochloric acid & sulfuric acid) and crevice corrosion in hot chloridies.

3,Weldability:it prossesses excellent weldability,comparable to other pure titanium grades,using all standard welding techniques such as tungsten arc welding.

4,,Biocompatibility:as same as all pure titanium grades,it is highly biocopatible.The palladium addition is also well-tolerated in human body,it is suitable for certain medical applications where its specific corrosion properties are beneficial.

1,Chemical Processing Industrial:it can be maden to heat exchangers,reaction vessels,distillation columns,piping systems and liners handling aggressive chemicals like hot,concentrated sulfuric acid,hydrochloric acid and phosphoric acid.

2,Petrochemical:it can be maden to the components in refining processes where exposure to sour crudes(containing H2S) .

3,Metal Finishing:it can be maden to equipment for picking and plating lines.

4,Pollution Control:it can be maden to scrubbers,ductwork and chimney liners in flue gas desulfurization systems.
