Gr5 Titanium Angle Section

Gr5 Titanium Angle Section is an L‑shaped structural profile manufactured from Grade 5 titanium alloy (Ti‑6Al‑4V), which is the most common used and representative titanium alloy in industrial applications.

Grade 5 titanium alloy is a typical α‑β two‑phase titanium alloy containing titanium, aluminum, and vanadium as main alloying elements. It shows an excellent combination of high specific strength, good fatigue resistance, superior corrosion resistance, and moderate formability, making it widely choosed in aerospace, marine, chemical, and medical fields.

Due to these outstanding comprehensive properties, Gr5 titanium angle sections are commonly used as load‑bearing, supporting, and connecting components in high‑performance structural systems.

The main chemical composition of Grade 5 (Ti‑6Al‑4V) titanium angle section is based on the Ti‑6Al‑4V alloy system, with the following key elements:

Titanium (Ti): Base element, balance

Aluminum (Al): 5.5–6.75%

Vanadium (V): 3.5–4.5%

Small amounts of trace elements are strictly controlled to ensure mechanical and process performance, including iron (Fe), oxygen (O), carbon (C), nitrogen (N), and hydrogen (H).

• High strength: excellent mechanical strength. It meets the load-bearing requirements of structural components in high-demand fields.
• Superior corrosion resistance: Resists corrosion from most acids, alkalis, salts, and marine environments. It is suitable for harsh working conditions.
• Lightweight: Density is about 4.428g/cm³, about 40% lighter than traditional steel. It can reduce the overall weight of equipment and structures.
• Good high/low temperature stability: stable mechanical properties in extreme temperature environments.

The finished products are packaged using a multi-layer protective system.

 

First, each component is individually wrapped with plastic film to provide basic physical protection and isolate moisture. Then, anti-rust paper is applied externally to prevent oxidation and corrosion during storage and transportation. Finally, the packaged products are placed into a robust wooden case for overall reinforcement.

 

To enhance structural strength and avoid edge damage during handling and shipment, angle iron is installed at all edges and corners of the wooden case.
