Gr5 titanium plate is a common designation for Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy plate, which is the most widely used α+β dual-phase titanium alloy in industrial and aerospace fields. It is similar to the Chinese grade TC4. It is recognized globally due to its balanced mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.

- Standard Gr5 (Ti-6Al-4V): General industrial/aerospace use (ASTM B265).
- ELI Grade (Ti-6Al-4V ELI): Lower interstitial elements (O, Fe, C), better ductility/toughness for medical implants (ASTM F136).
Choose annealed for general purpose; solution treated+aged (STA) for maximum strength in high-stress parts.,

Q:What machining notes do you have for this product?
- Machining requires sharp tools, low cutting speeds, and sufficient coolant to avoid work hardening.
- Cold forming is limited for thick plates; hot forming at 800–925°C improves ductility.
- Welding should use high-purity argon shielding to prevent oxygen/nitrogen contamination, which degrades ductility.
Can Gr5 titanium plate be formed or bent?
- Thin plates: can be cold formed.
- Thick plates: better to use hot forming to prevent cracking.
