A titanium forged ring is a circular component made by hot forging and ring-rolling processes from titanium and titanium alloy ingots. Forging refines the grain structure, eliminates internal pores, and significantly enhances mechanical properties .
It is shaped using the forging process including pressing, hammering, or rolling under high heat and pressure instead of casting or simple machining. It is designed for high-load, critical applications requiring exceptional mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and lightweight performance.

Manufacturing Process
Ingot Melting: Adopt Vacuum Arc Remelting to ensure high purity and composition.
Pre-forging & Piercing: Make the billets with upsetting, drawing and pierce the billet into a hollow ring.
Ring Rolling: Radial-axial rolling at controlled temperatures below the β-transus to expand the ring to near-net shape with fine grains.
Heat Treatment: For Annealing, optimize strength and ductility; solution+aging for higher strength alloys.
Precision Machining & Surface Treatment: Machine the forged ring with turning, grinding, passivation and pickling to meet final dimensions and enhance corrosion resistance.
Quality Inspection: The well-established inspection system includes 100% ultrasonic testing, dye penetrant inspection, chemical analysis, tensile and impact tests, microstructural examination.
