Grade 5 titanium round bar is the most widely used titanium alloy in the world. It's very popular due to it's incredibly strong but light, highly resistant to rust and corrosion, and holds up well under heat. It's an alpha-beta alloy made with 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium.
People often call it the "workhorse" of titanium alloys - it makes up about 50% of all titanium used worldwide. It usually meets standards like ASTM B348/ASME SB348 and AMS 4928.
Grade 5 titanium costs higher more than steel or aluminum, but it's totally worth it for working where you need to cut weight, resist corrosion, and have serious strength. In the long-term working, its total lifecycle cost usually makes up for the higher upfront price.
