Grade 5 titanium square tube is the most widely used titanium alloy square tube in industrial fields. It is a titanium alloy composed of 6% aluminum, 4% vanadium, with the balance being titanium.
It is famous for its excellent combination of high strength, low density, outstanding corrosion resistance and good weldability and it is extensively applied in aerospace, automotive, marine engineering, chemical processing, medical equipment and many other high‑performance industries.

Performance Characteristics
1.High specific strengthtensile strength 860-950 MPa; density is only about 4.51g/cm³; It has the lightweight design without sacrificing structural strength.
2.Excellent corrosion resistance: The resistance to corrosion of seawater, chloride solution, organic acid, alkali and most industrial media.
3.Good mechanical processability: can be cold-formed, hot-formed, welded and machined.
4.Outstanding high and low temperature performance: maintain stable strength at high temperature (up to 400℃) and good toughness at low temperature (down to -253℃), without brittle failure.
5.Biocompatibility: non-toxic and non-reactive with human tissue.

Manufacturing Processe
1.Raw material smelting: Adopt vacuum arc remelting (VAR) to ensure high purity of the ingot.
2.Hot rolling & piercing: The ingot is heated and rolled into round billets, then pierced into seamless round tubes as blanks.
3.Square forming: Use cold drawing or hot extrusion process to transform seamless round tubes into square tubes, with precision mold control to ensure the squareness and flatness of the tube section.
4.Heat treatment: solution treatment and aging treatment to optimize the mechanical properties and improve the strength and toughness of the square tube.
5. Finishing: straightening, cutting, surface polishing or pickling passivation, and dimensional accuracy detection to meet the delivery standards.
