Production Introduction

Titanium H-Beam, also called titanium H-beam or H-profile, is a structural profile with an H-shaped cross-section, manufactured from titanium or titanium alloys. It combines light weight, high strength, exceptional corrosion resistance, and structural rigidity.

Grade 2 is the most popular CP titanium, balanced strength and corrosion resistance. Titanium H-Beam is the workhorse of titanium structural profiles-ideal for projects where corrosion resistance, light weight, and fabricability matter more than maximum strength.

Core Advantages

Balanced Performance:Stronger than Grade 1;more formable or ductile than Grades 3 and Grade 4;easier to process than Grade 5.

Superior Corrosion Resistance:Self-healing TiO₂ film;resists seawater, chlorides, nitric acid, mild sulfuric acid, and organic chemicals;no rust, no passivation needed.

Excellent Fabricability:Good cold bending, stamping, and deep drawing;easy TIG/MIG welding;machinable with proper tools.

Biocompatible & NonToxic:Suitable for medical, food, and pharmaceutical equipment.

Lightweight & High Stiffness:High strength-to-weight ratio;lower density than steel and stainless steel, reducing structural load.

Typical Applications

Chemical Industry:Reactor supports, heat exchanger frames, piping racks, bleach equipment.

Marine & Offshore:Ship superstructure supports, seawater piping saddles, desalination plant structures.

Water Treatment:RO system frames, electrode supports, chlorinealkali equipment.

Medical & Food:Surgical table frames, food processing machine supports, pharmaceutical equipment bases.

Architectural & Coastal:Corrosionresistant building facades, bridge railings, seaside facility supports.

FAQ About Titanium H-Section

packing for Titanium H-section

Common Problem

How is it different from Grade 1 and Grade 5 ?

  • Grade 1 has lower strength, higher ductility, softer; better formability but lower load-bearing capacity.
  • Grade 2 has balanced strength and ductility; It is the most widely used CP titanium for structural applications.
  • Grade 5 is α-β alloy and it has much higher strength, heat-treatable; but it has lower corrosion resistance and ductility, higher cost.

How to store and maintain Titanium H-Beam?

  • Keep in dry, ventilated warehouses; avoid contact with steel, copper, or iron to prevent galvanic corrosion.
  • Remove surface contaminants with alkaline or acid cleaners; avoid harsh chemicals like hydrofluoric acid.
  • Regularly inspect for scratches or dents; repair minor damage via polishing or re-passivation to restore the protective oxide layer.

What are the typical sizes and customization options?

  • The standard sizes, such as H-section dimensions range from 100×100×6×8 mm to 400×400×12×20 mm.
  • We can also offer customized options with non-standard sizes, lengths, surface finishes, and cold-worked strength grades available per drawings.
