Products Description
Grade 2 titanium bar (UNS R50400) is commercially pure titanium (CP Ti), the most widely used pure titanium grade globally. It balances excellent corrosion resistance, moderate strength, good ductility, formability and weldability, making it the universal workhorse for general titanium applications.
Compared with Gr1 (softer, higher ductility), Gr2 has slightly higher strength and oxygen content while retaining great formability; Gr3/Gr4 are stronger but less ductile.Gr2 titanium bar is supplied in round bar, square bar, flat bar, hot rolled / forged / cold drawn, annealed.
We can provide MTC (Material Test Certificate) with chemical composition and mechanical test data. Third-party inspection is acceptable.

What is the difference between Gr1, Gr2, Gr3 and Gr4 pure titanium?
They differ mainly in oxygen content and strength.
- Gr1: Lowest oxygen, softest, highest ductility
- Gr2: Slightly higher oxygen, balanced strength & formability (most widely used)

What environments can Gr2 titanium resist corrosion?
Excellent resistance to seawater, chlorides, wet chlorine, organic acids, oxidizing media. Not suitable: Hydrofluoric acid, concentrated hot reducing acids, some dry fluorine media.

Round bar, square bar, flat bar. Processing methods: hot forged, hot rolled, cold drawn. Surface options: pickled surface, ground bright surface, forged rough surface. Size range can be customized according to customer drawing.
