Grade 2 pure titanium bars are the most popular commercially pure titanium products, often called the "workhorse" of industrial titanium. They offer an optimal balance of moderate strength, excellent corrosion resistance, superior formability, weldability, and light weight. It makes them ideal for broad industrial, marine, and medical applications.
Grade 1 has highest purity, softest, most ductile, lowest strength. Grade 2 is stronger than Grade 1, with slightly less ductility but still excellent formability.
