In the chemical field, they are used for decarbonization and precision filtration of liquids, raw materials and pharmaceutical intermediates, recovery of ultrafine powder and catalysts, as well as purification of heat transfer oil, materials and gases, thereby improving purity and reducing losses. Gr5 titanium alloy filter cartridges can be continuously used in strong acid and alkali environments such as 98% concentrated sulfuric acid for 18 months without corrosion or perforation.

 

In the petrochemical field, they are used for oilfield produced water treatment, reverse osmosis security filtration and fluid filtration in catalytic cracking processes. After a refinery adopted Gr5 titanium alloy filter cartridges, the service life was extended from 6 months to 2 years, significantly cutting maintenance and downtime costs.

Filtration in the food and beverage industry requires impurity removal, clarification and absolute safety with no residues. Titanium rod filter cartridges comply with food hygiene standards, with no shedding or elution, perfectly meeting production needs.

 

They are used for the clarification and filtration of Baijiu, beer and wine to improve clarity, taste and shelf life; for the filtration of fruit juice and mineral water to retain flavor and nutrients; and for the clarification and impurity removal of vegetable oil, soy sauce, vinegar and other products to enhance product quality and stability.

 

These filter cartridges are washable and regenerable. It can reduce costs and cuts waste as the green production.

 

 

Environmental Protection and Water Treatment Industry

 

 

With the ever-increasing environmental protection requirements, water treatment has put forward higher demands for the corrosion resistance, stability and filtration efficiency of filter cartridges.

 

In industrial wastewater treatment, they can handle high-salt, high-COD and heavy metal-containing wastewater from electroplating, printing and dyeing, coal chemical industry and other sectors, removing suspended solids and heavy metal ions to improve water reuse rate. In seawater desalination, they serve as reverse osmosis security filters to remove sediment and suspended solids, protect membrane elements and improve system efficiency.

 

In drinking water treatment as well as ultrafiltration, RO and EDI systems, they remove microorganisms, colloids and impurities to ensure water quality safety. The surface TiO₂ oxide film has photocatalytic activity. It can assist in the degradation of organic matter to expand their applications in environmental protection.

 

 

Electronics and Other Industries

 

 

The electronics and semiconductor industries have extremely high requirements for the precision and cleanliness of ultra-pure water and photoresist filtration, where traditional polymer filter cartridges are prone to swelling and precipitation and thus unable to meet the demands. Titanium rod filter cartridges, with no organic precipitation, high cleanliness and excellent chemical compatibility, are recommended materials in accordance with the SEMI F57 standard. They are used in the preparation of ultra-pure water for chips and photoresist filtration, and have been applied on a large scale in 12-inch production lines of TSMC, SMIC and other enterprises, ensuring no particle contamination in high-purity chemicals.

 

In laboratories and scientific research fields, they are used for precision filtration of reagents, gas purification and sterilization of cell culture media to guarantee the accuracy of experiments. They are also widely applied in metallurgy, gas purification, high-temperature dye filtration and other scenarios by virtue of their high temperature and corrosion resistance.
